Roadkill

Robin has just completed Roadkill, an autobiographical novel set in 1986. The book is a hero’s journey, and the hero is Robin, a working-class snot from New Jersey with an epic longing to transcend her class and gender. The trip forces her to reckon with her sexuality and identity, learn a bit about romantic, platonic, and filial love, and realize she married an asshole at the tender age of nineteen. Because patriarchy. Because indoctrination. Because she had nothing better to do that day.
